The mirror is on the test bench and we are looking at the setup from above. The knife edge is to the left of the light returning from the mirror. The knife edge is at the same height as the light source and the knife edge is parallel to the slit of the light source. Lets view the mirror from just outside of the focus at its center of curvature.
